Varsity Banquet: This evening, May 24, Rumsey Hall Athletics will celebrate the accomplishments of our Varsity Athletes at the end-of-year Varsity Banquet. This annual tradition highlights the achievements of our Spring Varsity teams as well as those athletes who have earned a Varsity letter at some point during the year. The Athletic Department will welcome new members to the Varsity Club, recognizing that these athletes have earned their sixth varsity letter. Speeches will be given by Coaches and Captains that highlight stories of camaraderie, competition, determination, and grit. Please enjoy this program to read highlights of this year's Varsity teams.
Volleyball Clinic: On Sunday, May 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. the Western Connecticut Volleyball Club will be hosting a FREE clinic at Rumsey Hall for any interested 6th through 9th graders. If your child is interested, simply sign up here.

Lower School - Memorial Day Dress: In honor of this important holiday, the Student Council has decided that Lower School students can come to school in patriotic play clothes. There are no AEP activities on this day. The playground will be open and supervised for students who stay.
Upper School - Remaining Formal School Dress Days: Monday, May 27 will be Formal School Dress in the Upper School for Forms IV-VI. The Senior Class (VIIth Form) will wear their class T-shirts on this day. Friday, June 7 students will wear Formal School Dress for the Academic Awards Ceremony. That Monday, June 3, will be regular Class Dress. Please also refer to the Dress Code for details on dress for commencement and other end of year events. They can be found at the bottom of the document.
IIIrd Form Trip to Camp Awosting on Tuesday, May 28: To culminate their year-long focus on leadership, the IIIrd Form will embark on a fun high-ropes course adventure at Camp Awosting in Morris. Students will work in teams and support each other in facing the course's challenges.

The Lower School Musical, The Lion King Jr., will take place on Wednesday, May 29. Lower and Upper School students will watch the show during the academic day. Family and friends are invited to attend the 6 p.m. performance in the Maxwell A Sarofim ‘05 Performing Arts Center. Following the show, refreshments will be served in the Finkelson Gallery to celebrate our students’ time in the spotlight!
Senior BBQs: On Thursday, May 30 and Thursday, June 6 (weather permitting), we are inviting the senior class to come together after sports for good food, fun activities, and time with friends. The Senior BBQs will be held by the gazebo from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Day students should be picked up at 7:00 p.m. from the Hull House parking lot. Thursday, May 30: BBQ, Field Games & Paint the Class Rock. Thursday, June 6: BBQ & Vote for Permanent Class President.

End-of-Year Travel: It's hard to believe we are coming to the end of another school year here at Rumsey! Please submit your end-of-year travel plans via Orah under the End-of-the-Year pass as soon as possible. Even if you are picking your child up, a pass still needs to be submitted. With all students departing campus for the summer recess, we appreciate submitting your plans early so travel can be coordinated effectively. ALL boarding students are expected to put in a pass for the end of the year.
End-of-Year Packing Policies: During the last week of school, boarding students will work with dorm parents to pack up belongings and clean their rooms. Review packing policies here.
